Through the Middle School Career Exploration Project, eighth-grade students gained valuable exposure to a wide range of careers, industries, and educational pathways. Developed in collaboration with the district’s Career, Technical and Adult Education Division and the Office of Acceleration and Innovation, the initiative connects students with professionals and community partners who bring real-world experiences into the learning process.
The program was designed to help students:
- Discover career fields and industry sectors that match their interests and strengths.
- Understand the education, training, and skills required for various careers.
- Make informed decisions when creating their four-year high school academic plans.
- See the connection between classroom learning and future workforce opportunities.
By introducing career exploration at an early age, Polk Vision helps students build confidence, expand their horizons, and make more informed decisions about their educational journey. The result is a stronger foundation for future success and a clearer vision of the many possibilities that await them.
