Cyber Focus Group
Polk Vision is having a cyber Focus Group on Facebook! For the month of July, we encourage you to go on our Facebook Page (http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=103219246380326&topic=95) and discuss one (or more) of the following topics in terms of the future of Polk County: Education, Economic Development, Infrastructure, Government, Quality of Life, and Private Sector Leadership. This week’s blog post focuses on Polk County Infrastructure. As stated in our Vision Document, before 2024 it is the goal of the Polk County that we “will have growth management and infrastructure that protects the environment and quality of life, supports education and economic development and is economically sustainable.” To read more about Polk infrastructure, you can read it in the Polk Vision Document here:

We would like you all to think very carefully about the following questions: 1) Is it possible to expand Polk’s infrastructure without having negative effects on the environment. 2) What would you like to see come from Polk’s infrastructure.

Although we proudly give ourselves a pat on the back when the comments left on the blog say “good post” or “interesting, thanks for sharing”, we aren’t really getting any feedback about the community. So remember, after you read the blog post, leave a comment about the topic. Of course afterwards you can always say good post!
Remember this from last week? ”We’ve developed this Blog so the citizens of Polk County have a place to voice their opinions and provide input. We want you to make use of the comment section so that we can learn how the community feels about critical issues related to each Area of Focus. Your input will be considered by the various Polk Vision Task Forces to “refresh” our community-wide strategies and set priorities.”
